What a supplier check report actually looks like

This is the real format, structure and level of detail you receive from the US$199 supplier check — with one example supplier's data filled in. Everything below is illustrative; real reports are written per supplier.

This is a sample, not a report about a real company

The supplier, dates and findings here are illustrative. We do not publish reports about real suppliers without the client's consent, and we never invent verification results to make a sample look better.

Overall result

Risk rating: Medium

The legal entity is real and contractable, and the payment account matches the contracting entity — the most common deposit risk is not present. Two questions are still open, and a desk check cannot answer either: whether the supplier manufactures or also trades, and whether its certificates cover the exact model being quoted.

Risk-based assessment: it reduces uncertainty; it does not guarantee supplier performance.

Four checks, one supplier, three business days. Anything that cannot be evidenced is marked Unverified rather than assumed.

2 · Scope boundary

What this check does not cover

These are left out on purpose, so the price can stay at US$199. Each one is available as a separate, quoted piece of work — but only if your order size justifies it.

Not included in the US$199 checkAvailable as
Factory / production capability evidenceFactory audit — from US$299 / visit
Certificates verified against the exact model quotedQuoted by scope
Background and adverse-media reviewQuoted by scope
Component consistency (driver IC, power supply)Pre-shipment inspection — from US$299 / visit
Production follow-up and shipment coordinationTrial order support — from US$499

If your order is small, the US$199 check is usually enough. If you are about to pay a large deposit, it is not — and we will tell you so.

3 · Findings

What the check found

The entity is real and contractable. Registration is active, and the business scope covers display manufacturing — not trading alone.

The most common deposit risk is absent. The bank account named on the quotation belongs to the same legal entity that would sign the contract. Deposits are most often lost to accounts held in a different name; that risk is not present here.

Two questions remain open. First, whether the supplier manufactures its own cabinets or also buys them in finished — this affects both price and who is accountable. Second, whether the certificate held covers the exact pixel pitch being quoted, since certificates are often issued for one model range and quietly stretched to cover another.

Findings are limited to what these four checks can evidence. Open questions are listed as open, not resolved.

4 · Next steps

What we recommend

  • Ask for the driver IC and power supply brand in writing. These two components decide what a screen costs to run and how it fails.
  • Ask for the certificate that covers the exact model quoted, not the product family.
  • Freeze the specification before any sample order — pixel pitch, cabinet, brightness, refresh rate, control system, spare modules.
  • If the deposit is significant, commission a factory audit first. A desk check cannot see a production line.
